Master Bedroom Suite

I have dreamt of this space for years! It turned out even better than I had hoped. This was one area on the original floorplan that we modified since the 300 year floor plan did not plan for a large master suite!

I was worried for a little while that the bedroom area would be too big to fill with furniture and still make it cozy, but we separated it into two sections- the bedroom and a sitting area- and it is very cozy!

We chose things for this room that meant something to us, not just things that we could get at a store. We have a quilt that was made for our wedding framed and hung below a picture light on the wall. We have a caribou fur on the wall instead of a tv. We have a photo wall of pictures of our family each year from 0 to 8 children!

It is probably my favorite place in the house.

The master closet has an island and a radiant sauna and I love that there is room for clothes for all seasons so I don’t have to put anything away when the seasons change.

The bathroom has a dual head shower with a rainfall head and a big tub with a beaded chandelier over it. The vanity has a mirror across both sinks with sconces on the mirror.

It is a functional space and we love it. The furniture and the rugs are all from Butler Furniture and the bedding and lights and anything that I could link can be found here: http://liketk.it/2YVrN

Until next time,
