Mother’s Day is right around the corner! Moms, this is OUR day! If you are lucky you can claim the whole week or even the whole month for YOU! But, if you are like me you may be lucky to take a quick power nap and get a few homemade cards and call it good and still feel blessed beyond measure <3

I have been asked several times to talk about my top items that I recommend for moms and I thought this would be the perfect time to do this since mother’s day is in a few weeks. Some of these things are ‘things’ and others are not. In no particular order here we go- my top 10 essentials for all moms!

1. Women’s Bible – every mom needs a bible! This is our guidebook and I love referring to scripture- there is a solution to every problem here.
2. A cozy robe – when I have a newborn I live in my bathrobe! I love lazy mornings and slow evenings with my robe and a cup of coffee or tea!
3. A good coffee cup– Every mom needs a nice big coffee mug!
4. Lip gloss – sometimes moms do not have time for all the makeup, but there is always time for lipgloss!
5. Slippers– everything is better with cozy slippers! I love slippers that can be worn inside and outside if needed.
6. Cozy Blanket (that is only theirs!)- a blanket that does not have spit up, sticky food, slime, or marker on it- this blanket is allll mine!
7. A splurge item– perfume, shampoo, conditioner – every mom deserves to feel like a queen! I love expensive perfume and good shampoo and conditioner 🙂
8. One area off limits to kids– it is essential for moms to have that one spot that is all theirs for planning, thinking, crafting- whatever! Find a space in your home and claim it off limits to kiddos!
9. Quiet time every day- if I am going to be at my best I require quiet time each day. Usually this is during little kid nap time from 1-3, but sometimes that does not happen and it is in the evening from 8-10 . Whatever the time- quiet time is so important for a momma!
10. A girlfriend- I don’t need to explain this one! A girlfriend who you can talk to is worth all the therapists in the world. I am so thankful for my friends who encourage, challenge, listen, and support me.
