Random Acts of Kindness

February 17 was Random Acts of Kindness Day. It made me think back a few years ago when I challenged myself to do a month of daily Random Acts of Kindness (RAKs) and to include the kids. I made an album to share these ideas with friends to encourage them to also do RAKs.

There were some larger acts that tooks some planning, but the majority of them did not take more than a few minutes to do and did not cost hardly anything. Here is a slideshow of a few of the RAKs we did that year:

Someone mentioned (and I overheard :-/) that these RAKs were not very random if I was posting them to get praise for, but that person was missing the point. I was not sharing them for acolades, but rather as inspiration to encourage other people to do these. And most people were encouraged! Here are a few messages I received during that month of RAK sharing.

After that month we continued to do RAKs each year and the kids look forward to them. They have gotten really good at thinking of kind things that we could do for someone and it warms my heart to see this! Here is a list for some random acts of kindness inspiration:

If you happen to do any of these or if you come up with new ideas share them with me on IG @thebradleybunchadventures and I will create a RAK highlight album to inspire others!

These are so fun to do and at after you do a random act of kindness the strangest thing happens- yes, the receiver gets a nice surprise, but you walk away with such a heart of gratitude that your day is made as well!

Until next time,

karla
