The Homebody T-Shirt Fundraiser Results

You may have discovered our blog through the Homebody T-shirt Fundraiser that we did this month to benefit the Baxter Regional Medical Center Foundation to help provide PPE due to COVID-19. This was such a fun and humbling event. I had no idea what would happen.

I figured a few people may support me either because they liked the shirt or because they are my friends and that is what friends do, but I had no idea that this fundraiser would raise $17,455 or be in 16 states with one state starting this same fundraiser idea for their local hospital!

We were in the paper and on the news for this event. The kids got to participate and they learned so much about community involvement and fundraising. When it was time to bring the money to the foundation the kids were so excited and wore their shirts for the occasion.

They also learned a lot from the business partner we worked with. The Pink Sprout company agreed to make the shirts used in the fundraiser and to donate 100% of the profits and I talked to the kids about that and how because of their generosity good things would come their way and we made sure of that!

This was such a great experience and I am so proud of our community for sharing the fundraiser and participating. We live in such a wonderful community and when we see people in town wearing their homebody shirts both during this time and after life returns to normal again we will know that that is a person who supports their local hospital!

THANK YOU for all of your support. This was a fun community event that brought excitement and positivity during this uncertain time.

It was a huge success and I am so proud of everyone.

Until next time,

karla
